Great website, Patrick. I'm in Boulder, Colorado and found you through your comments on Facebook, for the television episode of Bar Rescue in Denver. I was there coincidentally, about two hours ago--when you were writing your thoughts about the owner, Ami. And yes, he is is an A-HOLE. Confirmed. Loud and obnoxious. The words "BOZO" and "has issues", applies here. I'm not kidding.
ReplyDeleteThe bar was full of "loud dead-beat drunks", the food was mediocre along with the service, and Ami was still giving away free drinks (over serving) to the regulars. (By the way, I didn't get a free drink.) Although, the cook Dave, was a really super nice guy. When I spoke to him. (I wish him well.)
I won't go back. The place was nothing but a "rat-hole bar" in costume. The atmosphere reeked of trouble. Its really a shame. John Taffer did what he could. I'll have no sympathy for them--when they close. Basically, it's a lawsuit waiting to happen.
Just thought you would enjoy the perspective (with what I saw) from a sensible individual, with a sound sober mind.
Karl
Hi Karl! Thanks for the comment. Very interesting and fun to hear the perspective of someone who was there. Taffer should have thrown Ami across the bar! I feel bad for those employees. Dave seemed like a solid guy. I hope he gets out of there and moves on to better things. It's amazing how bull-headed some people can be. Especially when they have an expert trying to help them! Take care.
DeleteYes. You are so right, Patrick. Thanks for your take on this.
DeletePossibly, the man "smoked" his own green card for a buzz? And something went wrong? (Allegedly.)
Also, please note: The comments made are for "entertainment purposes only." No harm is to be intended towards anyone in any way. We're all human in our behavior, but some people need and want "special attention" for ego reasons (witnessed).
Unfortunately, this just upsets the balance of "purposeful" and rational psychology that we see around us in our daily lives. So, to state it like this: We shall only look for positive roll-models on our journey towards health, happiness, awareness, and spirituality. The false ones will show their souls indifferently to hurt others.
To put it mildly. Places serving liquor carelessly can sometimes harm society in backward motion--when not well managed. But, this may be just a generalization? It is true that bad apples do spoil the whole bunch.
All the best. And I'll look forward to your newsletters in the future.
Slán go fóill, a chara.
Karl
Thanks Karl. Very well put. If a guy like Ami can open his own business, that gives hope to anyone else who aspires to someday spread the entrepreneurial wings! Let's just hope they manage their business better than this guy!
